You will be part of a team responsible for planning, producing and delivering our marketing activities, evaluating their effectiveness, and responsible for high quality initiatives.

Duties Include:

Annual catalogue

  • Overall responsibility for creative and production of our annual catalogue
  • Working with other departments to manage the progress and produce annual Catalogue to meet deadlines
  • Work with external suppliers to deliver print and layout services
  • Print buying, sourcing, cost comparison, theme and style sheet choosing, product selection meetings, proofing list contact management, proofing and final sign off of all pages

Supplier relations and account managmenet

  • Marketing strategy and actions for suppliers (100+) often using existing tools
  • Negotiation with vendors about selling advertising space

Mailer production

  • From concept to selling ad space to suppliers, pagination and production, cost management, print buying, briefing the studio, proofing, liaising with suppliers on proof, selling to membership, arranging overprints

Conferences and events

  • Producing meeting presentations and sourcing content from external speakers
  • Producing conference literature, selling advertising and sponsorship space to vendors, email marketing communication with vendors and delegates

Content management

  • Management of our in-house community system The Hive, including content creation, layout, article publishing and tracking usage

In-house studio

  • Win and develop new business working for in-house studio. Working with Graphic Designer brief and oversee projects and artwork jobs from creation to final output

Digital marketing

  • Working with existing marketing team to oversee and develop existing programmes, such as social media and email marketing programmes
  • Creation, from design to final live website of clients WordPress enabled websites including content management and updates and hosting support

Trade press advertising

  • Trade press advertising, including execution of ideas working with in-house studio to final adverts

In-house private label

  • Liaise with other departments including merchandising to create a plan and executive innovative promotional campaigns to elevate sales on our own private label product
Looking for someone with similar experience with the following:
  • Able to develop and implement marketing plans as part of a wider marketing strategy
  • Excellent administration, organisation and planning abilities
  • Strong written skills with the ability to write copy and proofread accurately
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages and proven skills in Excel
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and can demonstrate some design work is preferable
  • Previous product management and marketing experience desirable
  • Great communication and influencing skills and capable of building strong external relationships
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work on several projects at one time
  • Work autonomously and on your own initiative
What you’ll get in return:
  • An attractive salary of £24,000 – £27,000 depending on experience
