As the dust settles on another hugely successful NEMO Conference, one thing is for sure, Lord Digby Jones made quite an impact on the delegates.
Before the Vendor Exhibition on the 29th June, NEMO members and exhibiting vendors were treated to a truly engaging Business Session from the ex-Minister of State for Trade and Investment, Lord Jones.
Lord Jones touched upon his illustrious career, starting from a firm of lawyers based in Birmingham to his time as Director-General at the CBI as well as advisor to some of the world’s biggest companies, including JCB, Deloitte and Ford and then his political career.
Lord Jones used his wealth of business acumen and political insights to give delegates an in depth take on the world of business as he sees it, highlighting topics such as China and giving fascinating trends into the future of international trading.
Delegates were captivated by Lord Jones mixture of enlightening topics, his past history and his distinct comedic quips as the Business Session over ran, much to everybody’s delight.
Lord Jones has now become a popular peer amongst NEMO Members, some calling for his political career to re-ignite and for Lord Jones to lead the country. Lord Jones certainly made his mark on the NEMO Group and it will be a tough act to follow for the next annual NEMO Conference.
