NEMOs’ annual Catalogue Launch gave both vendors and NEMO member’s opportunities to discuss new products, showcase future plans and launch the 2016 edition of the award winning and highly acclaimed, Office Style Catalogue.
The Hallmark Hotel, Manchester was the venue as NEMO presented their plans for sustaining and building on their impressive membership growth, whilst looking back at 30 years of success, and the foundations that NEMO were built on.
Chairman Michael Morgan started proceedings, with a recap of the four pillars of NEMO’s success; run by the members, for the benefit of the members, the Veto process, and the strapline ‘Together we are stronger’.
Michael then took delegates through the history and development of the group over the last 30 years, and the anatomy of NEMO, which has remained true to those core pillars ever since.
Tim Beaumont then gave a review of 2015 and an insight into NEMO’s plans moving forward.
‘2015 was a strong year for NEMO. We achieved a remarkable 32% growth in membership, over 200 vendors grew their business with us and had some great accolades; finalists at the BOSS awards for ‘Catalogue of the Year, and winning the ‘European Dealer Group of the Year’ award at the EOPA ceremony.
Looking forward, Tim summarised ‘We are very enthusiastic about 2016. We are focused on continuing to grow the membership, explaining our unique group structure to independent dealers and helping our existing members’ make the most of new opportunities.’
Tim’s presentation was followed by the Catalogue Launch and Exhibition; which gave vendors the opportunity to display new products and for NEMO to showcase the 2016 edition of the Office Style catalogue.
The new 2016 catalogue benefits from a streamlined size, enabling easier handling and postage, expanded categories in FM and technology and more pages focused on service offerings such as MPS and secure shredding.
The packed exhibition hall was well attended by NEMO members, with over 90% of Full Members visiting suppliers as the group continue to support their vendor partners.
The night ended with NEMOs’ legendary Chinese meal, including Derek Bamford’s famous stand-up routine, where the NEMO staff, members and management thanked the vendors for their continued support.
