Ann Renwick, dealer group NEMO’s Conference Manager successfully completed a 5k Race for Life on the 10th July to raise money for Cancer Research UK, running it with her daughter Jessica.
Ann managed to raise a staggering £1500, which combined with the fund-raising efforts from NEMO’s recent Conference means a grand total of £4,200 was raised for the charity.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer. They help fund scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner. They are also a primary source of providing cancer information to the public.
Ann was diagnosed for the second time in April 2016 with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, a cancer type that sees around thirteen thousand cases in the UK alone, after recently having successful treatment for Melanoma in September 2015.
Ann has completed her treatment and will continue with quarterly checks for the next ten years.
Ann is planning on further fund-raising activities as soon as possible, including a tandem skydive, when she overcomes her fear of heights!
