This week is National Apprenticeship Week and as a celebration of the positive impact apprentices have on businesses, economy, and of course themselves, NEMO would like to share our experience with one of the apprentices we work with – Jordan Allen.
Jordan arrived at NEMO in June 2015 whilst undertaking an intermediate (level 3) course at Tamworth College in Social Media and Digital Marketing.
While working on NEMO’s HummingBird social media service, Jordan has acquired vital professional skills and has been able to use these for her college assignments. Instead of just theory, she is actually delivering real social media content on a daily basis and taking responsibility for the results and strategy. As well as learning essential professional workplace skills, which will enable her to develop her career, Jordan is now an important part of our marketing team.
The HummingBird programme is constantly developing and continues to show great results, building strong communities and getting high levels of interaction.
Tim Beaumont, Managing Director of NEMO commented: “We love the apprenticeship programme. It gives young people an opportunity to get real hands on, relevant work experience. Jordan has developed massively in her time with us. She is committed to building a career and I am sure that she will look back on her time with us as a key step forward and a valuable experience. If you don’t already get involved in apprenticeships, then we strongly recommend that you do and the cream on top of the cake is that its part funded by the government!”
