NEMO Unveil New Marketing Plans at Catalogue Launch

NEMOs’ recent January Catalogue Launch was a huge triumph, giving both vendors and members’ excellent opportunities to discuss new products, showcase future plans and launch the ever-improving, Office Style catalogue.

Hosted at the Hallmark Hotel, Manchester, NEMO presented their plans for sustaining and building on their exceptional growth gained during 2013. Tim Beaumont, NEMO MD gave a look back in review to suppliers:

2013 was an outstanding year for NEMO. We recorded an amazing 36% growth in membership, plus won a number of prestigious industry awards. We were finalists in the BOSS awards for ‘Professional of the Year’ and ‘E-marketing Campaign of the Year’ and we’re delighted to win the highly desired ‘Reseller Marketing Excellence Award.’

There were also some winning performances from some of our members, with Morgan & Morgan a finalist in the BOSS ‘Dealer Excellence Award’ plus an outstanding result that saw Grafton Projects as winners and STP Stationery as runner-up in the ‘Total Sales Growth £500k – £1m’ category of the Spicers awards at their Brilliant Partner Conference.’

Tim summarised ‘We are really excited about 2014. We are focused on continuing to grow the membership and helping our existing members’ make the most of the new opportunities that this year has already started to bring.’

NEMO then showcased vendors a multitude of new publications for 2014 and innovative new business services.

Tim’s presentation was followed by the Catalogue Launch and Exhibition; which gave vendors the perfect opportunity to display new products and for NEMO to showcase the 2014 version of the award winning Office Style catalogue.

Vendors were guided through the improvements made to the 2014 catalogue, including; rising to 480 pages, featuring over 9,600 products, 3,000 of which are new. The catalogue has a very creative, unique ‘Doodle’ theme, which has been adopted for many of the NEMO publications for 2014. The theme brings humour to the catalogue and uses numerous fun facts throughout to entertain the reader while making their selection.

John Cotterell, National Account Manager at Pilot Pen commented, ‘NEMO really do know how to host an event. The catalogue launch was fantastic and we are really pleased with the feedback and genuine interest from members. NEMOs’ events are always tremendously well attended, which really help us to connect with the members and take a lot away from the launch.’

Richard Bradley, Account Manager at Antalis Limited followed up, ‘Like previous years, the catalogue launch for 2014 provided a great opportunity for us to see and hear from our customers. There is always a buzz around a NEMO event and they never let us down.’

The night ended with NEMOs’ legendary Chinese meal, at a local restaurant, where the NEMO staff, members and management thanked the vendors for their support in 2013.

Gina Smith, Dealer Group Director at Spicers praised the entertainment ‘A big event in our calendar is the annual Chinese meal, which everyone always looks forward to.  This year did not fail our expectations.  The restaurant really was excellent, food and service outstanding as well as the entertainment in the form of Derek’s speech. It rounded off the event really well.’
